iEXODDUS at the ASECAP Days 2026

27. – 29. May 2026 | Bratislava, Slovakia

The 53rd ASECAP Study & Information Days took place in Bratislava from the 27th to the 29th of May 2026 with the theme “Investing to Make Road Infrastructure Resilient for Europe’s Future Mobility Needs”. It included several discussions towards innovative and sustainable financing mechanisms upgrading and modernising networks to reduce risks and unforeseen burdens on public budgets. Moreover, it showed how targeted investments can transform Europe’s road infrastructure, making it more resilient to climate change and geopolitical challenges while supporting the EU’s dual objectives of secure mobility and decarbonisation.

On the 28th of May, iEXODDUS was represented in the Session “C-ITS Deployment, Pilot Projects and Operational Applications on European Motorways”. Alongside the speakers Stefan Zelenbaba (Kapsch TrafficCom), Benoît Vuadelle (APRR), Matteo De Padova (Milano Serravalle), Moroine Laoufi, (Vinci Autoroutes), Iona Kirkpatrick (IRF) took stage, representing iEXODDUS in the presentation “IRF – Extending Operational Design Domains through Cooperative Infrastructure: Digital Twins, Secure V2X Data, and Real-Time Decision Support”. The presentation focused on the importance of developing automated vehicles to adapt to edge cases as well as reducing human intervention.

Along with Vinci Autoroutes and APRR, the presentation furthermore covered a relevant topic: Preparing motorways for physical and digital CCAM infrastructure to support mixed traffic environments. iEXODDUS provided the critical technical backdrop for this discussion. Likewise, IRF responded to questions related to iEXODDUS’ role in the development of the EU automated driving scene as part of the mixed traffic environment and how this compares with progress in China and the United States.
