IEXODDUS at the auto.Ready Symposium 2025

On May 6–7, 2025, the auto.Ready Symposium convened in Pörtschach am Wörthersee, bringing together over 60 experts from administration, research, technology, infrastructure, and industry. Organized by SURAAA in collaboration with project partners such as AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, ALP.Lab, DigiTrans, FH Upper Austria, ITS Vienna Region, and TechMeetsLegal, the symposium focused on developing a comprehensive readiness framework for automated mobility in Austria.

The event commenced with an evening gathering at Lake’s Hotel, where thought leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration and systemic thinking in advancing Austria’s position in automated mobility. The following day featured a dynamic program at the see:PORT innovation hub, including project presentations, keynote speeches, and moderated workshops addressing key challenges and opportunities in the field.

As part of the symposium, our colleague, Jakob Reckenzaun, presented our project, highlighting its core use cases:

  • Safe navigation in environments without GNSS reception

  • Safe navigation through construction zones

  • Safe navigation in incident sites

These use cases align with the symposium’s objectives, contributing to the collective effort of establishing standardized approaches and tools for the implementation of automated mobility solutions in Austria.

The symposium underscored the significance of coordinated initiatives like auto.Ready in shaping the future of transportation. By facilitating knowledge exchange and fostering collaborations, such events play a pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring the successful integration of automated mobility systems.
