The recent General Assembly, held in Graz, represented an critical step forward for the project, iEXODDUS, bringing together partners from all over Europe for two days of focused discussion and strategic alignment. Originally planned as a kick-off event, this meeting gained ever more relevance due to the required shift to virtual collaboration during the project’s early stages.

For the purpose of implementing a research and innovation initiative at this level of scale and complexity, face-to-face interaction plays a crucial role. While virtual tools have allowed for efficient coordination and steady progress, the opportunity to engage directly, discuss challenges in real time, share perspectives more openly and build personal rapport cannot be underestimated. The in-person format allowed project partners to exchange on key technical topics, discuss their approach towards project objectives and collaborate on project results.

The meeting agenda covered the latest developments across all Work Packages, with each team presenting recent achievements and outlining their next steps. These updates were complemented by strategic discussions on topics central to the project, including the extension of Operational Design Domains (ODDs) for robust automated driving systems and the integration of Digital Twin infrastructure into road transport. The interdisciplinary nature of iEXODDUS was particularly evident during these sessions, which benefited diverse technical expertise and application-focused insight. The level of keen partner interaction during the meeting reflects a strong sense of shared commitment to iEXODDUS’ success.

We’re looking forward to the road ahead and the results we’ll achieve together.
